18F-FDG PET–CT dual-time imaging in detection and characterization of recurrent lesions in patients with testicular cancer

Abstract Background Testicular cancer is the second most frequent form of male genital tumors. Globally, testicular malignancy has risen over last forty years. Among malignant tumors, germ cell tumors represent approximately 95% all They are classified into seminomatous and non-seminomatous as they differ in clinical features, therapy, prognosis. Despite increasing value whole-body fluorodeoxyglucose positron emotion tomography/computerized tomography ( 18 FDG-PET/CT) for malignancies, practical function this imaging method still unknown. We aim to assess diagnostic performance FDG-PET/CT dual-time-point (DTPI) detection characterization recurrent lesions. Results DTPI showed higher specificity (SP) lesions' delectability local, nodal, distant lesions than single-time-point (STPI) (97.6%, 93.8%, 97% versus 95.2%, 68.8%, 84.8%, respectively) sensitivity (SN) nodal (97% 93.8% 87.8% 87.5%, respectively). The mean SUVmaxD RI values—not SUVmaxE—of were significantly greater benign p 0.001*). Conclusions its related indices (SUVmaxD RI) more accurate, sensitive, specific STPI patients.
